This is why VE aren’t saying anything about Another Atmosphere, TRUST ME, I have my own trustworthy source for this info.
The label are messing them around - still.
As we all know, the band went into the studio last year and recorded 10-13 songs for what was originally Another Atmosphere. They then shot promo photos, had first single (No Consequences) prepped and the preview EP in the works to appease fans for the long wait with the album release originally being in October.
At some point after the preview EP was released things got derailed a bit, said source didn’t go into too much detail but between the label being unhappy with a lot of the final album and the band being unhappy with it songs such as “Dirt” (which was recorded, mastered and mixed) were scrapped.
Time went on, the Brash thing played out for months and the band released a couple of viral vid’s for some of the songs they’d released. By feburary they were “80% done with the album, it’s now nearly August, with no news and recording sessions still going on.
The impression I got from my source was that the band are waiting to be released from their contract and will be releasing their self-produced material, this stuff was recorded with just Shaun, not the other producer as he forced the poppier sounds, the bass wobbles etc onto the songs to give them a marketable edge that they otherwise lacked.
Depending on how they exit FBR, if it is messy, or FBR want to cling onto material, you might never receive studio versions of “Future”, “Catastrophe”, “Illusion”, “Another Atmosphere” etc as FBR will have the publishing rights to those, not Sierra & Blake. Recording sessions are continuing as it seems there’s been another snag on the master plan.
Finally, I totally trust this information, you’re probably wondering why. I am very, very close to someone who works over at FBR and he has told me everything that he knows about what’s going on. He does not know I’ve posted this, and will never know.
Last of all, the good news is, I have studio versions of Catastrophe & Illusion on my computer, if anyone can suggest a way of me uploading these without being found out, I’d love to hear it. Message me.
